Saw the Glass Menagerie on Broadway Friday night. I didn’t like the staging very much, (a curtain obscured the actors for about half of the show), but Williams can turn a phrase like no one else. Jessica Lange was good, but not outstanding. Christian Slater is supposed to be in it as well, but his part was played by the understudy that evening, who did a pretty a good job I thought (a bit stilted maybe). It was my first time seeing the play, I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t hugely recommend it, especially at full price.
