Sun Kil Moon – Tiny Cities (The Modest Mouse Covers Record)
Well, everybody loved the first Sun Kil Moon record except me. After one listen, I gotta tell ya, this album does not do it for me, every song sounds kind of the same and whiny. Who knows, maybe I’ll come back to it in a few weeks and think that it’s genius, or more likely I will forget about it completely, and then it will be widely praised as the best album of the year by others. I got this because these guys are Sigur Ros’ labelmates (FatCat Records). Have not listened yet, I’ll let you know how it goes when I’m done. Street Date: 10/18/05

Update: This record is not worth buying. Sort of remind me of a poor man’s Delgados without the atmosphere.
