I have had some time to get down with a new album called Below The Branches by San Francisco based musician Kelley Stoltz, and I must say, I am impressed. It’s a great record, really. The album is a tour de force in musical genres, I hear some Ben Folds, Ron Sexsmith, White Stripes, Beatles, Strokes, 60’s Psychedelia, Classic Blues, and Beach Boys harmonies, just to name a few. I should really post a full review later, this is an album I really like, and am enjoying more upon each listen. I predict big things when this album drops on Sub Pop in Feb ‘06.
