Shearwater – Palo Santo (Misra)
Shearwater, also sometimes called Okkervil River’s other band releases a strong record. At first I was put off by the oh so hushed intros, but the songs are strong, I think this album will grow on me as I listen to it more. Kind of reminds me of a Richard Thompson, without the fancy guitar work.
Minus 5 – The Gun Album (Yep Roc)
I haven’t heard it yet, but I will get to it. Given my luke warm reaction to their last couple records, I’m in no rush.
