Just in time for “The Simpsons Movie” (opening July 27), 7-Eleven will turn 12 of its stores in the U.S. and Canada into Apu’s Kwik-E-Mart — one of them in Chicago. All 7-Eleven locations will carry limited numbers of products made famous by “The Simpsons,” including the doughnuts (pink with sprinkles) featured on the movie poster, KrustyO’s cereal, Buzz Cola, Squishee frozen drinks and a special edition (No. 711) of the “Radioactive Man” comic book. Life-size “citizens of Springfield” also will visit the stores. [Chicago Tribune]
Lyrics to “Who Needs A Kwik-E-Mart” (sung by Apu Nahasapeemapetilon)
