Tax Free Shopping in NYC… Kinda, Sorta

As of Saturday, New York City shoppers will no longer have to pay the city sales tax on purchases of clothing and shoes over $110 dollars. However, we’ll still have to pay the 4.375 percent state sales tax on items at or above $110 dollars.
