UPDATE (11/28): The Sufjan event has been cancelled, guess there is only one thing to do tonight.
Brooklyn’s The XYZ Affair make their triumphant return to their home turf tonight (Union Hall) after recently playing a successful opening gig for The Veils at The Bowery Ballroom and a previous sold out headlining gig at the very same Union Hall. Tickets are $8 at the door.

Down the street over at that other music venue in Park Slope, Sufjan Stevens and Wesley Stace (John Wesley Harding) will be sharing the stage with Rick Moody as part of the PENUltimate literary series. Word on the street is that there will be performances at this show, not just interviews/discussions. Tickets to this one were sold out when I mentioned it the first time.
