Initially regarded as a betrayal to his folk roots, Bob Dylan’s mythic 1966 concert has been embraced by devotees and entered the his canon. At this Winter Garden tribute concert, the entire album is performed from start to finish by a roster of artists including Laura Cantrell, Stevie Jackson (Belle & Sebastian), Marshall Crenshaw, Lenny Kaye, Jason Isbell (Drive By Truckers), Toshi Reagon, Jesse Harris and Chocolate Genius Inc., each playing their interpretation of one song.

Very cool idea. Wish I didn’t live in LA (on so many levels) and could have been in NYC for that one.

But since I could shameless promote my new novel in person, I thought I’d do it here. It’s called BLOOD ON THE TRACKS.

It’s a murder-mystery. But not just any rock superstar is knocking on heaven’s door. The murdered rock legend is none other than Bob Dorian, an enigmatic, obtuse, inscrutable, well, you get the picture…

Suspects? Tons of them. The only problem is they’re all characters in Bob’s songs.

You can get a copy on Amazon.com or go “behind the tracks” at http://www.bloodonthetracksnovel.com to learn more about the book.
