In case you didn’t know, Joe Jackson has a new album out now called Rain. He’s also starting out a rather large tour in support of it at the end of this month (Feb). In that regard, he’ll be playing two shows in NYC on April 15th and 16th (one of which is already sold out). Finally, comedian Sara Schaefer has made a video for Joe where she implores the good folks of NYC to get him to move back to our town (keep your eyes peeled at the 2:10 mark).

Recorded in Berlin and mixed in New York, the album features ten new songs, all of which Joe has performed on his last two tours. As on those tours, the band consists of just Joe on piano and vocals with the rhythm section of the original Joe Jackson Band: Graham Maby on bass and vocals and Dave Houghton on drums and vocals.

Starting in late February, the trio will be embarking on a 4-5 month tour, which will start and finish in Europe. In between, the tour will take in North America, Australia, and several places Joe has never played, including Israel, South Africa, and Eastern Europe. [joejackson.com]
