Tonight, (April 4), at Joe’s Pub Alina Simone presents the songs of Russian punk-folk singer, Yanka Dyagileva, from her new album, Everyone is Crying Out to Me, Beware. Simone will be performing with a full band that includes special guest viola player, Lev ‘Ljova’ Zhurbin. This special CD release show will be hosted by Subpop comedian and Tearing The Veil of Maya host, Eugene Mirman. Also, I’m told that there might be horseradish vodka drink specials, what more could you ask for. Tickets are $12, buy them here.
