This album is one of the most mesmerizing and wonderful albums I've heard in a long time. It has an ethereal and almost supernatural quality to it that allow it transcend time, place and language and I sincerely hope that people aren't afraid to check this band out because they're french... need I say, Stereolab?! In my opinion, Pas Chic Chic and Black Mountain were the only two bands from the list that I could truly throw my support behind! At least one of the two is getting appropriate recognition! Wow,

I'll be shocked if it doesn't make next year's list (it'll almost definitely be on my ballot). And I think Corb Lund is going to surprise a lot of people...I didn't have him on my initial list, but when I was listening to everything again for my second ballot, I had to include it...it's a pretty great album.
