UK folk rockers (and ProductShopNYC favorites) Noah and The Whale play their first gig in NYC tonight (Sep 16) at Union Pool in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. But don’t worry, if you can’t make tonight’s show, you can also catch them at the for free at the Sidewalk Cafe on September 18 and then again at the Virgin MegaStore (at lunch) and The Mercury Lounge (at night) on September 19. In what may come as no surprise (especially if you read the headline of this post), they’ve also got a brand new record out today in the US called Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down, I was charmed by it and I imagine Drake will have something nice to say about it too. Laura Marling (who is also in town this week) was a member of the band before going solo, and according to Wikipedia she continues to perform with them occasionally.
