51st Annual Grammy Nominations

NOTE: For the 52nd Annual Grammy nominations (calendar year 2008-2009, broadcast date January 31, 2010), check out this post.

51st Annual Grammy Nominations

OK, so the Grammys are still basically irrelevant, but it certainly is a welcome surprise to see M.I.A on the list for Record of The Year and Radiohead‘s nomination for Album of The Year is certainly well deserved (except that the nomination is a year late). I know they have a lot of haters out there, but I’m also not unhappy about Adele and Duffy‘s various nominations (though “Chasing Pavements” for Record of The Year might be a little bit much even for me). 1. all suck as usual. The grammy’s are irrelevant. Another year of horrid music except for one of two amazing artists. I won’t mention them, they are my indie secrets.

  2. What I’m going to say is that the only people on this list (and I am going to mention names) that I’m pulling for are M.I.A. (though I was hot on this record almost 2 years ago) and Katy Perry. Of those two I think that M.I.A. doesn’t have much of a chance but should get that award, then Katy Perry surely deserves her that was the hottest song of the Year without a doubt!!!

  3. Of all people to nominate, the JONAS BROTHERS?! Who in their right freaking mind would nominate little boys with whining moans coming out of their mouths as good artists?!

The only people I am pulling for at this point are Maroon 5, OneRepublic and Coldplay;everyone else sucks.

  4. Yes, they all suck like GIA said. The two that I’m pulling for is Alicia Keys and John May collab…They are amazing artist and if you listen to that song you’ll know that I’m right!!!!

  5. wow another Grammy list full of commercialized flavors of the month. I’m not even watching this year. I’d rather write my own songs

  6. American music sucks! Other than Radiohead (who are not American) all this is crap radio music. Mindless drones out to make a quick buck. A discrace to music. The Jonas Brothers??!!! WTF!? Terrible.

  7. Ok the list is terrible again, but what’s worng with Robert Plant and Allison Krauss? they deserve to be here and so does MIA, radiohead, Adele and James Taylor.
