Wordless Music

The just announced Charles Spearin show at Le Poisson Rouge show made me want to dig a little deeper into the “Wordless Music” concert schedule for 2009 and when I did, I found lots of interesting things. A few of the things that caught my attention amongst the impressively eclectic lineup were: Toumani Diabate, James Blackshaw, Meg Baird, Craig Wedren, The Books, The Mountain Goats, John Vanderslice, Juana Molina and the aforementioned Spearin. The full schedule (so far) looks like this:
