“Spectacle: Elvis Costello With…” Renewed For A Second Season, DVD Planned

Great news music fans, Elvis Costello’s ground breaking music and interview show, Spectacle: Elvis Costello With…, has been renewed for a second season on Sundance acccording to TV writer Mo Ryan (thx Drake). Also, according to a recent story in Canada’s Globe and Mail, a DVD release of season 1 is being planned:
“The first season will emerge in extended form on DVD. Most of the tapings ran for two to three hours, so there will be lots of outtakes on the discs, said [producer Stephen] Warden.”

We would like to get tickets to a December taping of Spectacle. We are US government employees working overseas in Cote d’Ivoire and will be coming back to USA to visit our elderly parents in Dec 2009, and would like to attend a taping. We downloaded season one after seeing the free short clip on iTunes. We love the show!
