Green Day released their eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, on Tuesday, May 15 and they’re doing the full court press while they’re in town this week. Friday sees them at Midtown’s Best Buy for an autograph session, then on Monday they’ll be playing a fan club gig at the Bowery Ballroom, Tuesday puts them at Webster Hall for a MySpace “List” show, Wednesday has them at the “P.C. Richard & Son Theater” in Tribeca for a contest winner show, and then they’ll top it all off with a GMA gig in Central Park at the Rumsey Playfield. Finally, if you don’t get a chance to see them in the next week, they’ll be coming back to play a “proper show” at Madison Square Garden on July 27 with Kaiser Chiefs.
