As much as I dislike Live Nation, I guess I’m not ideologically opposed to them selling live concert videos on iTunes. Right now the selection is pretty weak though, we’ll see if it picks up in a couple of months though like they say it will. (Note to anyone out there in the Bowery Presents organization— you should really be doing something like this.)
• iTunes Going All You Can Eat?Apple iTunes on Tuesday [Nov 24] began featuring downloads of live concerts by about 20 artists who are promoted by Live Nation.
iTunes will have a section featuring the concerts of singers and bands ranging from Jesse McCartney to Ziggy Marley, when the service begins, the companies said in a statement. They expect hundreds of more shows in the coming months. Prices will start at about $7.99. [Reuters]
