The Middle East at MHOW (05/17/10)

Australia’s The Middle East have been in town for the past few days opening for Mumford & Sons, but tonight you can catch them headlining their very own show at The Mercury Lounge w/ Mountain Man. While NYC ends up being the terminus of most major tour routes, The Middle East actually have a bunch more tour dates lined up that will keep them on the road in this continent until mid-June. Though I haven’t really mentioned them here before, I’ve really been digging the Middle East’s mellow EP, Recordings of The Middle East. (For my money, there is a little bit of Queensrÿche’s “Silent Lucidity” in “The Darkest Side”, but I’m not complaining.)
