Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant is back with a new collaboration, this time with country singer and songwriter Buddy Miller. Their new album, Band of Joy, is a fresh mix of rock, folk and blues, and features other artists such as Patty Griffin and Darrell Scott. [NPR Music]

Robert Plant‘s new record comes out on September 14 and in celebration of that release, Plant and the “new” Band of Joy will play the Bowery Ballroom on Sunday, September 12. Tickets for that show go on sale at noon on Saturday, September 4 at Ticketmaster.com.
