Janelle Monae played a short lunchtime set at Bryant Park on August 27 to promote a new brand of Levi’s jeans for women. In the photos, she appears to be dressed in her standard uniform, so my initial speculation that she might don a “Canadian Tuxedo” was ill informed. Janelle will be hitting the road with Georgia’s Of Montreal for a bunch of fall US tour dates starting this month. You can catch her at Terminal 5 on September 17 and 18 (Buy Tickets) and also at Alicia Keys’ Black Ball on September 30, 2010.
