Earth: The Audiobook

If you are a regular reader of my monthly B&N/Borders posts then you might already know that Jon Stewart and the writers of The Daily Show recently released Earth (The Book), a follow-up to their 2006 bestselling tome, America (The Book). No doubt buoyed by the nightly promotion it receives on TDS, Earth is currently sitting in the #1 spot on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction Bestseller List. If you’d like to win you’re very own copy of the audiobook edition of Earth (The Book) as read by Jon Stewart, Wyatt Cenac, Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, John Oliver and Sigourney Weaver then all you have to do is follow me on Twitter (@bumpershine) and tweet out something along the lines of, “Get @bumpershine to 1000+ followers and help me win a copy of Earth (The Audiobook) by Jon Stewart.” Only people who follow me are eligible to win, contest ends on Sunday, October 17 at 11:59 PM, US entrants only please. In other related news, in addition to hosting The Daily Show and promoting his new book, Jon Stewart is keeping busy with a few other extra-curricular activities as well. He recently hosted The Night of Too Many Stars which will be broadcast on Comedy Central on October 21 at 9PM; he will be hosting of Bob Woodruff‘s Stand Up For Heroes on November 3 at The Beacon Theatre (Buy Tickets); and last but not least, he’s staging a Rally To Restore Sanity at The National Mall in Washington, DC on October 30. (Stephen Colbert, of course, is also staging his own March To Keep Fear Alive on the same day at the same time in the same place.)
