Add Swedish sensation Lykke Li to the list of buzzworthy artists playing the Rumsey Playfield at Central Park Summerstage this year. Tickets for this Aug 1, 2011 benefit show go on Amex and venue presale on Mar 16, 2011 12PM EDT, general on sale begins on Mar 18, 2011 at 11AM EDT. Lykke is touring behind her new record Wounded Rhymes which bowed at a respectable No. 37 on the Billboard charts last week. Lykke’s two other local dates (May 17 and 18 at Webster Hall) have long been sold out, so the Summerstage show should service some of that pent up NYC demand. Though she has only announced a handful of US summer tour dates as of this writing (Lollapalooza and The Greek Theatre in LA are the only other two I could find), one would imagine Lykke will be making her rounds on the festival circuit this year.
