Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn

After the rather large hue and cry from local residents this year, the Open Space for North Brooklyn is proposing to relocate the Williamsburg Waterfront concerts from the East River State Park to 50 Kent Avenue (between North 11th/North 12th Streets). There will be a public hearing on the matter on Thursday, October 20, 6:30 PM
 at the Swinging 60’s Senior Center 211 Ainslie Street (corner of Manhattan Avenue), Brooklyn, NY.

The new location is currently an asphalt parking lot on the east side of the neighborhood’s western avenue, a plot that was once leased by the Sanitation Department before the city acquired it two years ago as part of its plan to build the 28-acre Bushwick Inlet Park.[BrooklynPaper.com]
