As I reported earlier, Jerry Seinfeld and Brian Wilson will both be doing Stand Up For A Cure benefit shows later this summer. Tickets for Seinfeld at the WaMu Theatre are already on sale, and tickets for Brian Wilson at The Hammerstein Ballroom go on sale on May 1. This year’s Stand For A Cure concert season will also include shows from Andrea Bocelli, John Mayer, Barry Manilow and Norah Jones.

The 15th Rainforest Foundation “Some Kinda Legacy” Benefit Concert will take place on May 8, 2008 at New York’s historic Carnegie Hall. The announced lineup includes: Billy Joel, James Taylor, Sting, Brian Wilson, Chris Botti, Feist, Roberto Alagna, cellist Natalie Clein and many more special guests.

As we reported last month, Bon Jovi played the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight as part of the Stand Up For A Cure benefit series. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it looks like the folks behind SUFAC have a few more interesting things lined up 2008.

Other confirmed Stand Up for a Cure concerts this year include a June 2 stand-up performance from Jerry Seinfeld at the 5,600 seat WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden, a July 11 concert with [Brian] Wilson and special guests and an [Andrea] Bocelli performance in December. [HollywoodReporter.com]
