Raul Midon – State of Mind
I have been a fan of Raul’s for a few years now. His live performances are highly enjoyable and his talent is prodigious. His first self-released CD, Blind To Reality, was a bit of a disappointment, a little too much production for my liking. I have some high hopes for this record, his major label debut on Manhattan Records/EMI, (street date May 10, 2005). This time around, with veterans Arif and Joe Marden at the helm, the production should be solid. I’ll let you know my opinion when I have the chance listen.
