In other news, Sony missed the boat on the digital music players and flat screen TV’s. Newsweek Story

From the Newsweek article:
“…Sony failed to spot the potential of flat-panel TVs, ceding leadership to Samsung and Sharp, and fumbled the lead in digital music players to Apple.”

This is so true, Sony used to kick ass in portable music (anyone remember the original Walkman) and in TV’s (Triniton & WEGA). Can you imagine where they would be if they had capitalized on these nascent markets when they still had a chance? Oh well, maybe Stringer will greenlight the next piece of killer hardware, or maybe they will just buy Apple.
