I heard about this on the radio, it actually sounded pretty cool. The complete archive of the New Yorker magazine from 1925 to 2005 on 8 DVD’s. Buy it here. As publishers are keen, I’m sure, to make a buck by repurposing old content, I would expect to see more of these kind of releases in the future, (I think Life and Rolling Stone would be great candidates). The only problem I foresee holding up more DVD’s like this is that the cost of conversion must be quite high, scanning old magazines is a lot more labor intensive (and therefore, less lucrative) than transferring a TV show to DVD.
