Elvis Costello and old pal Chrissie Hynde recorded a duet of the old Bread hit Everything I Own for the upcoming Warner Bros animated feature Happy Feet, to be released in a cineplex near you on November 17, 2006.

Elvis has also recorded a version of the Malvena Reynolds song Little Boxes, most famously covered by Pete Seeger in 1962, to be used as the theme song for the Showtime program Weeds in its season opener on August 14. Throughout the season they’ll be featuring the song as recorded by several different artists. Elvis is up first.

Elvis has a cameo appearance in the new Will Ferrell comedy, Taledega Nights, opening this weekend.
