Scavenger Hunt FAQ
Do I have to complete the entire hunt to see Dan Deacon? You at least have to check in for the hunt. After you check in, you can complete as much or as little of the hunt as you want. Of course, the more of the hunt you do, the better your chances are of winning awesome prizes. And it’ll be a blast.
Where do I go to check in for the hunt? The location of the check-in will be e-mailed to you after you purchase a ticket.
What do I need to bring? You need to make sure that at least one person on your team has a digital camera and a cell phone. The more digital cameras, the better your chances as your team can divide and conquer.
How does the Scavenger Hunt work? You show up at check in, we put you in a team of 4-6 people, we hand you an envelope that includes the rules and the clues for the scavenger hunt, and then we send you off! The scavenger hunt will be a point-based system, so go through the clues and figure out which ones you can do for the most points! You won’t be able to do them all, so choose wisely… and keep in mind every clue is open to creative interpretation.
How do I get on a team with my friends? When you buy a ticket you will get e-mails that will explain to you the rules of the scavenger hunt, and what to expect on the day of. The most important thing that you need to know now is: if you want to be on a team with your friends, you must must show up with them. And yes, of course, everyone involved in the hunt, will need to have bought a ticket to participate.
What are the prizes? We will have a cash prize of $1000 for the most amazing team ever . The second and third place winners will also receive TBD prizes.
How is the hunt judged? The scavenger hunt will be judged based on the pictures that you take and the items you bring back — points will be awarded for each . So make sure and take good, exciting, interesting and thorough pictures of what clues you find. Your team will turn in their clue envelopes and memory cards (the memory cards will be returned to you right after we download your pictures) at the location of the after-party, and we will announce the winner during the party .
What happens if I have questions during the actual scavenger hunt? We know that this scavenger hunt has a lot going on, so we will provide a number that you can call at any point during the scavenger hunt if you have questions. We will be providing that for you on the day of the event.
When does the hunt end? The scavenger hunt ends at 6:00. At this point you will go to the after-party and rock out until around 10:00.
Where is the party at? How do I find out? You will be receiving a few bonus clues throughout the hunt via text message. The last clue that we send you via text message will lead you to location of the party.
