My favorite radio station on Long Island, WUSB FM 90.1, is having its annual Elvis Costello marathon today (Nov. 3)! Read all about it below.
On Saturday, November 3rd from 3 pm – 12 am, WUSB 90.1 FM, Stony Brook, Long Island’s leading non-commercial community radio station will present its fourth annual Elvis Costello Marathon. The marathon, with WUSB deejays John O, Mr. Edison and others spinning, will feature music from the entire 30 year career of Mr. Costello. There will be a wide variety of music featured mirroring the eclectic output of the artist from his early post-punk period and including classical, jazz, country, rock, ballads, Americana and roots music. Other highlights include:
- a live, in-studio interview Elvis’ most recent collaborator, producer, arranger, composer and New Orleans musical legend, Allen Toussaint
- hundreds of rare and live tracks from the WUSB vaults and the personal collections of the deejays
- requests and dedications from around the world as Elvis Costello fans from around the globe listen via the web at www.WUSB.fm and
- lots of great Elvis Costello premiums for those pledging during WUSB’s annual Fall Radiothon fundraiser.
