The Electric Six, Willowz and The Golden Dogs played the Music Hall of Williamsburg last night. Tonight, they’ll be at the Bowery Ballroom and if you haven’t seen them yet, I suggest you try and make it out this evening.
Toronto’s The Golden Dogs have a really great new record out now called Big Eye Little Eye (True North). Why this band hasn’t blown up over here yet is a mystery to me (incidentally, Grant Lawrence and Chris Kelly of CBC Radio 3 are big fans of TGD).
Chautauqua is the third album by Anaheim’s The Willowz. It was released in March of this year on Steve Aoki‘s LA based label Dim Mak.
The title of Electric Six‘s fourth album, I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master, is, as you all know, borrowed from a drawing by an artist named George Grosz. The drawing portrays the gluttony and excess of Berlin in the interwar period, once again, I’m sure this is not news to my regular readers.
