Working For A Nuclear Free City, the Mancunian band you never heard of (that just lost the Shortlist Music Prize) has apparently parlayed their nomination into a little US tour and a headlining gig at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on March 8. Well, at least they’re only charging a Mercury Lounge like $10 for tickets (on sale 2/6 at 12pm). All tour dates below.

WFANFC Tour Dates
02/13/08 Hoxton Square Bar London, UK
02/23/08 Royal Oak Chorlton, Manchester, UK
02/29/08 Mezzanine San Francisco, CA (NoisePop)
03/01/08 On The Rocks West Hollywood, CA
03/03/08 Spaceland Los Angeles, CA
03/04/08 Cinespace Hollywood, CA

To be honest, the stuff I’m hearing on their MySpace page right now isn’t too bad at all. But I mean can MHOW even pay their bouncers at $10 a ticket?
