AC Newman at The Bell House (09/17/08)
AC Newman‘s new album Get Guilty comes out on January 20th, 2009 and he’s just announced a bunch of February and March tour dates with Broken West and Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele. He’ll be playing the Bowery Ballroom on March 15, 2009 with Dent May (tickets on sale 12/12) and a making return engagement to his home club, The Bell House, on March 29, 2008 with The Broken West.
On a related note, joining Carl on the road (again) will be Vancouver musician Shane Nelken of The Awkward Stage who released an excellent record in 2008 called Slimming Mirrors, Flattering Lights and also recently recorded a studio session for CBC Radio 3 which can be downloaded for free over here.
Oh, and one last thing, you can pre-order Get Guilty now from Matador Records and get $3 off of the CD version, plus you’ll get an exclusive B-side (mp3 or FLAC) of Carl’s take the Go-Betweens’ “Love Goes On” (which he played live at The Bell House on 11/15/08).
