Not sure if any of this completely “new” news, but the Sounds Like Brooklyn Music Festival has announced their complete schedule and launched a pretty nifty micro site.

Here’s a little more about the BAM Next Stage Campaign:

Dear Friends and Supporters of BAM,

We are proud to share some important news with you this afternoon. Today, we announce the BAM Next Stage Campaign, a $300 million, long-term fundraising effort designed to move our institution forward through the construction of new facilities, the launch of new program initiatives, the stabilization of ongoing operations, and a plan to grow the BAM Endowment Trust, thus insuring BAM’s success for the next century and beyond.

Today, we invite you to check out BAMNextStage.org to learn more about the following objectives of the BAM Next Stage Campaign:

• New Building: the BAM Richard B. Fisher Building will be home to a 263-seat flexible performance space, a rehearsal space, and several classrooms. Six months per year, this new facility will be devoted to community and education programs. BAM proudly names this facility in honor of Richard B. Fisher, founding Chair of the BAM Endowment Trust and a true friend.
• New Programs: including an Opera Biennial festival, the first of its kind in New York City.
• Endowment Growth: great institutions can last forever with the help of strong endowments, and we must fortify the BAM Endowment Trust in order to survive the ups and downs of any economy.

The good news is that, with the support of many incredibly generous donations, we are already more than halfway to our goal, having raised over $160 million at the time of our writing.

We have a long way to go, but BAM is here for the long haul. Your support and commitment is essential. If we work together, all things are possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and urge you to be a part of the BAM Next Stage Campaign.

Cordially,
Karen & Joe
