Hey Rosetta! at Piano’s (03/04/09)

After watching the serene Marissa Nadler at Joe’s Pub on Wednesday of last week (March 4) I was ready to rock out a little, so I decided to check out Canadian sextet Hey Rosetta!, who were playing the late show at Piano’s. Their set was short, but tight and full of energy, so I was glad I made the effort to be there (despite the less than perfect sound in Piano’s back room). Though there are no US dates scheduled in the near future, those of you living in Canada will have the chance to see Hey Rosetta! throughout March, April and a little bit of May as they head out on their big cross country tour with Bumpershine favourites Dan Mangan and Rich Aucoin.
