Cross-Pollination: A Mix Tape and An Anniversary Show

Cross-Pollination Vol. 2

Tonight marks the 5 year anniversary (Mazel Tov Wes!) of Cross-Pollination, the weekly collaborative music show at Pianos where two artists play short sets on stage by themselves, then three songs together. In commemoration of this auspicious occasion, The Family Records has put out a new Cross-Pollination mixtape featuring exclusive tracks from artists who have played the show throughout the years. Tonight’s lineup (May 12) features CP favorites The Bloodsugars and Dinosaur Feathers (who, as you may or may not know, were recently given an honorable mention in L Magazine’s annual “8 NYC Bands to Watch” article). Should be fun times, get there early!

PS Oh yeah, don’t forget I’m co-curating a Cross-Pollination show on June 23 with Anni Rossi and Pearl and the Beard!

Upcoming Cross-Pollination schedule and a streaming and a downloadable version of the new CP mixtape after the jump.
