Although they’re currently still out on the road, The Black Crowes have just announced the first leg of dates for their “Stuck Inside Utopia Tour”, which begins on August 25, 2009 at The Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA. According to the Crowes’ official website, the new shows will feature:”
…over two hours of music culled from the forthcoming new release and the band’s deep catalogue. Widely known for varying their nightly set lists performing new material, deep album cuts, rarities and covers in addition to their hits, THE BLACK CROWES, consistently deliver a fresh and unpredictable live show.
Ticket News reports that the Crowes will release their eighth studio effort entitled “Before the Frost, Until the Freeze,” in September 2009. In what may amount to a record release show, The Black Crowes are scheduled to play a gig at the Rumsey Playfield at Central Park on September 2 with the Levon Helm Band and Truth & Salvage Co.
