Bebel Gilberto – All In One

Bebel Gilberto‘s debut CD Tanto Tempo was one of my favorite records of the year 2000 (and I actually still listen to it today), so I’m pretty excited about the release of her new album, entitled All In One, which comes out next week. The new record, sung mostly in her native Portugese, features a diverse group of collaborators including: Carlinhos Brown (Caetano Veloso), Didi Gutman (Brazilian Girls), Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse), Daniel Jobim (grandson of Antonio Carlos Jobim), The Dap Kings (Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse) and John King (the Dust Brothers). All In One drops on Tuesday, September 29 on Verve and on that very same day Bebel will be playing two special record release shows at The Box Theatre in Manhattan (Buy Tickets). The other good news is, I’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to the early show (7:30 PM), so if you’re interested in going, send an email to contests@bumpershine.com and tell me the name of Bebel’s famous father.
