The Fountain is the forthcoming eleventh studio album by British band Echo & the Bunnymen. The album is being produced by John McLaughlin, and Coldplay singer Chris Martin has collaborated with the band on one of the album’s tracks. The first single from the album, “Think I Need It Too”, was due to be released in August 2008,[1] but is now scheduled for release on September 28th 2009. The Fountain will be released [in the UK] on October 12th, 2009.[2] [Wikipedia]

Also, according to their MySpace page, The Fountain will be available “in stores” on October 27, 2009.

  1. Ah, my favorite “modern” band in my high school years. Saw Ian McCulloch live in Montreal for Candleland but have never seen the whole band (or, in its latest incarnation, half the band, I guess 🙂 ).
