Anais Mitchell – Hadestown
Bumpershine favorite Anais Mitchell will be performing the music from her new (but long germinating) record/folk opera Hadestown at Joe’s Pub tonight (Apr 23). The studio album is really an amazing piece of work and features some super guests (Justin Vernon, Ani DiFranco, Ben Knox Miller, Greg Brown and The Haden Triplets) but tonight Anais will be taking charge of all the singing duties with the The Hadestown Orchestra backing her up (Michael Chorney, Rob Morse, Geza Carr, Polly Vanderputten, Adam “Pickles” Moss and Andrew Moroz). Tickets for tonight’s show are sold out, but you never know what can happen at the door right?
