Due to Hurricane Irene, City Winery had to postponed the shows scheduled this week end on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th.

The Vanishing of the Bees screening featuring Dar Williams are Bebel Gilberto Show on August 27th will be rescheduled shortly. I will let you know as soon as we have a new date.

Dickey Betts and Kristy Lee originally scheduled for Sunday, August 28th, will now be Tuesday, August 30th at 10:30 p.m.

Broadway, Theatre Row, NYC Fringe
All Broadway shows, productions at Theatre Row, and Fringe Festival presentations have cancelled their August 27-28 performances.

Off-Broadway
Most Off-Broadway shows have announced that they have cancelled all performances on Saturday August 27 and Sunday August 28 due to Hurricane Irene. Click here for the full updated list.

Chase Bank
On Sunday, August 28th, Chase Bank’s 22 branches in the tri-state area regularly open on Sundays will be closed.

WCS Parks (Zoos and Aquarium)
Please be advised that due to the impending storm, all five Wildlife Conservation Society parks will be closed this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28. This includes the Bronx Zoo, the New York Aquarium, the Central Park Zoo, the Queens Zoo and the Prospect Park Zoo.

NYC Parks
Due to Hurricane Irene, the Parks Department has closed all beaches. NYC Parks’ recreation centers and outdoor swimming pools will be closed Saturday, August 27, 2011 through Monday, August 29, 2011.

We urge people to stay out of parks. There is a danger of falling trees and branches. To report downed trees or branches, please call 311. In case of emergency, please call 911.

NYC Transit
The entire New York City mass transit system (subway, bus and railroad) has been shut down due to Hurricane Irene. Subway service is scheduled to resume late Monday.

LGA, JFK, EWR and SWF Airports
Effective 10PM, tonight, Aug 27, all aeronautical operations will be suspended at JFK, LGA, EWR, & SWF.
