Seaport Music Festival

The big No Age concert (that Pat is so excited about) is tonight (July 11). You can check out the most up to date Seaport Music Festival schedule (with the latest additions and cancellations) below.

Two additional artists — Cass McCombs and Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson — have been added to the series schedule for Friday, August 8. Regrettably, El Guincho has canceled the majority of his world tour, and will not open for Atlas Sound on the July 25.

The Moth Presents The Ones that Got Away: Stories from the South St Seaport
The MothThe renowned storytelling organization, The Moth, along with General Growth Properties presents an evening of stories as told by:

Mike Destefano (host) is a stand up comic who is a regular at all the top clubs in New York. He can be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio, and has appeared on Showtime’s White Boyz In The Hood.
Roger Franklin is a seasoned actor and has revisited one of his favorite roles as Father Christmas at The South Street Seaport for nineteen years.
Alan Solomon has rescued, collected and sold everything from manhole covers to reclaimed wood. In a recently published story in The New Yorker writer Birkhard Bilger described Alan as one who “sees New York City as a vast boneyard.”
Barbara Mensch - Her recently published book, A South Street Story, is a monograph of her work dating back to 1979 when she moved into the Seaport neighborhood.
Naima Rauam - Her paintings represent her deep roots in the Fulton Street Fish Market dating back to 1984 when her studio/gallery was set up in a fish wholesalers space.
Alan Vega - the singer/poet/storyteller of the legendary electro-punk band, Suicide, resided on Fulton Street for a short time in the 80’s.
