United Online, which operates NetZero, Classmates.com and other Internet services, bought MyPoints Inc. from UAL Inc. today for 56 million in cash. Don’t know how this will affect the service, but it’s possible that the United Airlines point redemptions might disappear. I’ve been a fan of MyPoints up to now, hopefully the service will continue as is, we’ll see I guess.
