Brooklyn Rapper Gravy Shot In Buttocks

No, this isn’t a storyline from The Sopranos, this is the real deal.

04/27/2006 — Brooklyn rapper Gravy is in stable condition after being shot outside of New York City hip-hop radio station, Hot 97, on Wednesday, April 26th.

The 28-year-old MC (whose real name is Jamal Woolard) was hit by one bullet after arriving at 9:30 p.m. for an interview at the Hot 97 studio in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. Despite his injury, Woolard did not seek treatment, but went into the studio to sit for an on-air interview with prominent DJ Funkmaster Flex. After the interview, Woolard was discovered wounded and limping by police and taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he was treated for a single gunshot wound and listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made.

Either this guy is a real badass, or something about this press release sounds a little fishy.
