Takeover BAM Returns w/ Sufjan Stevens as Curator, St. Vincent and Much More

BAM Takeover

Despite what last year’s event may have done to his blood pressure, Joe Melillo has decided to don his shirtsleeves and dungarees once again and let the kids run wild in the building on September 27, 2008. That’s right, TAKEOVER BAM is returning for another edition this year and it’s being curated by BAM darling and BQE composer himself, Mr. Sufjan Stevens. Here’s a little more info about the event including how to get a free drink when you are there, (one musician is still TBA):

Sat, Sep 27, 9pm””4am

TAKEOVER returns this fall for a second sleepless night. Seven hours fly by when BAM throws the biggest party of the year. Four bands (selected by Sufjan Stevens) keep the Opera House rocking, while four movie marathons screen in the cinemas. DJs spin all night long, setting the beat for a nonstop dance party in BAMcafé, while video art, cheap beer, and endless diversions take you from dusk ’til dawn.

As a BAMfan, enjoy a drink (or two) on us. Stop by the BAMfans window to pick up your free drink passes (just present your BAM membership card).
