From April 1-30, 2009, CBJC is hosting a month long jubilee celebration of African American classical music-Jazz, at diverse venues such as: Weeksville Heritage Center, Brooklyn Historical Society, BAMcafe Live, Hitchcock Institute for Studies in American Music at Brooklyn College, Dweck Center for Contemporary Culture-Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch, Sugar Hill Restaurant & Supper Club, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, Concord Baptist Church of Christ as well as community venues.
