St. Vincent at SummerStage 25th Anniversary Gala (06/08/10)

St. Vincent will make her second appearance of the year at SummerStage on Sunday, Aug 1, but this time rather than the paying homage to the mellow folk masters Simon & Garfunkel, she’ll be playing a headlining of set her own material. Also on the bill are the lovely Canadians Basia Bulat (my favorite woodland nymph) and tUnE-YaRdS.

While St. Vincent appears to be on hiatus from touring right now, Basia Bulat just announced a pair of NYC dates with The Acorn on Sep 23 and Sep 24 at the Mercury Lounge and Littlefield respectively (Buy Merc Tickets, Buy LF Tickets) . Like Basia, tUnE yArDs is also out on tour, but she doesn’t have any “official” NYC dates scheduled after SummerStage. On that note, rumor has it that the “super secret headliner” on opening night at The Rock Shop (Aug 2) is none other than Merrill Garbus herself.
