This year’s J&R Musicfest and Tech Expo is a little light on “big names”, but as the old saying goes, “Shut up and stop complaining, it’s a free concert.”

In other related news, Eli “Paperboy” Reed just released a new album entitled Come and Get It on August 10 on Capitol Records (home of Coldplay). Come and Get It, Reed’s third LP and major label debut was produced by the legendary Mike Elizondo. According the band’s Facebook page, they are still in the midst of plotting out US and European tour dates to support the new album, but in the mean time, they do have a confirmed date at The Bell House on October 8 as part of the Brooklyn Soul Festival. Eli and the True Loves were also recently tapped to play the Rock Hall Ball – 15th Anniversary Party in Cleveland, OH on September 3.
