Once again there are a lot of good things going on today, but what looks most interesting to me is the Ernest Jennings showcase at Bruar Falls (featuring a lot of good local bands), the always excellent Kanine Showcase at Cake Shop (remember they brought you Surfer Blood last year), the Distiller day party Knitting Factory with a rock solid lineup, the sure to be packed Paradigm showcase at the Mercury Lounge with Nada Surf headlining, the Windish showcases at Rockwood Stage 2 and The Studio at Webster Hall, the UK’s Everything Everything at MHOW and last but not least, Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl) and Laura Gibson at Union Hall. Also, if I didn’t have to work, I certainly would want to check out the Planetary Group Skewer day party at Pianos with Two Hours Traffic, Olof Arnalds, Black Dub and many more.
