The National at The Studio at Webster Hall (02/08/11)

On what was probably the coldest night of the year, The National played a last minute gig at the intimate Studio at Webster Hall before a packed house of enthusiastic fans. The set was captured on video by MTV for broadcast at a later date, and it just so happens that that later date is today (Feb 21). If you go to the “Live in NYC” homepage right now you can watch five songs (“Bloodbuzz Ohio”, “Conversation 16”, “Afraid Of Everyone”, “Fake Empire”, “Terrible Love”) from their show and then talk about them at the watercooler like you were there. Thankfully, the idiot who was yelling “Ada” in between every take has been edited out.

PS It’s early Monday on the east coast, but I still think the songs went up early.
